Among the ever-increasing apocalyptic events happening in our world, there’s over 200 fires raging across Australia right now—with 480 million animals and at least 24 people dead. Thankfully, more attention is being brought to the catastrophe—with Russell Crowe using his Golden Globes platform to deliver a message about the tragedy, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge auctioning off her designer suit from the awards show to go toward relief in Australia.
Now, in another admirable move, Rowing Blazers is putting their Australia Rugby Shirts on sale. The admirable part: All proceeds will go straight to WIRES, Australia's largest wildlife rescue organization.
In an email to customers, Rowing Blazers wrote about the wildfires in Australia:
We've been devastated by the news of the Australian wildfires and the destruction that it has done to the region and to the wildlife. We want to do our part to support Australia and we want your help.
The brand’s rugby shirts, if you’re unfamiliar, are supremely versatile, and come in all kinds of standout patterns, colors, and graphics—think everything from a reverse-pyramid of white eagles to stripes on stripes on stripes. Not to mention, the heavyweight material makes for an extremely cozy fit. Better yet, these rugbies are an all-seasons thing, too—go ahead and pair them with shorts in the summer.
Obviously, though, aiding in the relief of a truly heartbreaking disaster is the biggest win here. Props to Rowing Blazers for a genuine move. You can learn more about WIRES and its mission here.
